Head of Creative Art and Built Environment
The Head of Creative Arts and Built Environment oversees the BSc in Interior Design and the BSc in Architecture and Urban Planning Programs.
The individual is responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs related to creative arts, architecture, design, construction, urban planning, and other built environment disciplines. The position leads academic staff, promotes research and innovation, fosters industry partnerships, and ensures compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements.
What you'll do
- Provide academic leadership for design and architecture programs.
- Oversee studio-based teaching and student creative showcases.
- Build partnerships with design firms and urban planning councils.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements for design and architecture.
- Foster sustainability and innovation in program delivery.
- Manage faculty hiring and development.
- Teach 1-2 related subjects per term and play a role in relevant university committee
What we're looking for
- Master's or Doctorate in Architecture, Interior Design, or Urban Planning.
- Professional license/registration is preferred.
- Proven experience in academic leadership.
- Strong portfolio and industry network.
