Course outline.
Main Goal:
To develop students’ academic English proficiency at the A2 level by integrating listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in preparation for academic study. The course aims to build foundational skills in understanding and producing academic language across five key themes — Change, Resources, Impact, Invention, and Research — while strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking required for university contexts.

Describe trends and changes using the present progressive and present simple; identify main trends in visual data.

Write clear descriptions of graphs; use adjectives/adverbs to describe trends and prepositional phrases for time, place, and quantity.

Distinguish facts from opinions; express and justify opinions using appropriate academic phrases.

Describe processes accurately using the present simple passive; use academic adjectives effectively.

Explain cause and effect in spoken and written contexts; use appropriate verbs and connectors.
